ALGEBRA
In class: Handed in assignments and took the chapter 1 test
Assignment: Read pages 63-66.

Pre Algebra
In Class: Reviewed absolute value and practiced integer addition with absolute value.
Assignment: Complete page 71-72 exercises 7-31.

English
Bell Work: Students reviewed their short story notes and flashcards.
In Class: We took a short story quiz in class and handed in our writing bingo.
Assignment: First square of writing bingo due Sept. 4. Begin reading Independent Reading books for 1st quarter points.

The HISTORY Experience
In Class: We discussed reasons for the dramatic population growth in the colonies. We also explained the cause and effect of the French and Indian War, and we had a pre-test for chapter 5 vocabulary.
Assignment: In class we completed a review worksheet for Section 5.2, if students do not have the work sheet completely finished they need to do so for Tuesday.

SCIENCE
In Class: We did our new “Constellation of the Month” for September. Information was handed out to add facts for each layer of the sun onto your colored picture. You need two facts for each layer.
Assignment: Add two facts for each layer of the sun to your picture.
Get out and look at the stars!!
